Architect Alphabet Postcard Book

The modern masters architecture alphabet postcard book.  26 postcards, double sided, in a book with perforated pages. Each book signed in a numbered edition of 100.

Andrew has picked his favourite architects for each letter of the alphabet.  Then researched the architects portfolio of buildings and designed ‘their’ letter using a particular building or design style from that architect.  There is an index on the front and back leaves of the book listing each architect and the name of the building and location that was used in designing the letter.  A second edition is in the works as there are so many favorites!

The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), in Boston, opened in September of 2006. This cutting edge building, designed by the New York architecture firm of Diller, Scofidio + Renfro, is a very important project for both the architects and the City of Boston.

The ICA had been under construction for two and a half years, and I photographed it during this entire journey, which allowed me to explore with my camera every part of this building as the construction process evolved. Out of over 3,000 images, I carefully chose thirty-six to design this Memory game. The paired images in this set range from overall building photos depicting the stages of construction, detail images of materials and processes, and final photographic images of the building standing complete and proud. Below is a slide show of the images in this Memory game.
